AcuTech Consulting Pvt. Ltd., the India office of AcuTech, commenced operations in January 2016. The seasoned team boasts extensive experience in both operations and consulting, spanning from 5 to 34 years. Since its inception, the India office has delivered process safety, risk management, and security services to diverse industries across multiple countries, including India, Denmark, Qatar, and Vietnam. These industries encompass chemicals, petrochemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, fertilizers, engineering, and surfactants manufacturing companies.

Process Safety in India

Awareness of process safety is on the rise in the region. Moreover, while the PSM program is not yet regulated by authorities in India, it remains a voluntary initiative for companies engaging in global business. AcuTech plays a crucial role in supporting these companies through its strong expertise in Risk-Based Process Safety Management Programs.

Additionally, there is a growing demand for Technical Safety studies such as PHAs, consequence modeling, and QRAs for both new build greenfield projects and existing facilities. Recent Major Projects
Large-Scale PHAs for a Multinational Agrochemical Company

The India office of AcuTech has undertaken extensive PHAs, including HAZOP, LOPA, DHA, and facility siting studies, for both existing and new projects of a multinational agrochemical company across its manufacturing sites in India and Denmark. Since 2018, over 50 such PHAs have been conducted, alongside Hazardous Area Classification and MIERA (Mechanical Equipment Ignition Risk Assessment).

HAZOP & LOPA for a Petrochemical Plant in Qatar

The PHA team has performed extensive PHAs for a petrochemical plant in Qatar. This included conducting HAZOP and LOPA studies for an Ultra High Pressure continuous polymerization plant (LDPE manufacturing at 2600 Bar pressure) and various utilities systems such as steam generation, turbo generators, cooling and chilling systems, nitrogen and oxygen plants, and compressed air systems.

Industrial Hygiene Assessments for Supplies of a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company

The AcuTech India office has undertaken process safety and industrial hygiene assessments for supplier companies affiliated with a prominent multinational pharmaceuticals company. These assessments aim to identify any deficiencies in current systems and infrastructure, providing recommendations for enhancements to align with international standards and the company’s expectations.

Long-Term PSM Program & BBSP for a Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer

The AcuTech India office has successfully implemented a comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) Program and Behavior-Based Safety Program (BBSP) for a specialty chemicals manufacturing company with multiple locations. This initiative encompassed the development and implementation of PSM standards, procedures, and training modules, as well as conducting Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) for two existing sites and one upcoming project of the company.
