Since its inception, the India office has delivered process safety, risk management, and security services to diverse industries across multiple countries, including India, Denmark, Qatar, and Vietnam. These industries encompass chemicals, petrochemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, fertilizers, engineering, and surfactants manufacturing companies.

Awareness of process safety is on the rise in the region. Moreover, while the PSM program is not yet regulated by authorities in India, it remains a voluntary initiative for companies engaging in global business. QRAs, Facility Siting & F&G Mapping for Major Pharma & Chemical Manufacturing Facilities
The AcuTech India office has undertaken Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) and Facility Siting (FS) studies for major pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing facilities in India, utilizing PHAST and SAFETI methodologies. In addition, both 2D and 3D Fire and Gas (F&G) Mapping studies have been conducted to optimize the placement of fire and gas detectors, enabling effective early detection and warning systems across complex processing environments.

The AcuTech India office has performed Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Process Safety (PS) benchmarking assessments for pharmaceutical companies operating multiple facilities across India. These assessments were designed to identify strengths and gaps within existing systems and site operations, providing structured recommendations for systemic improvements, technical enhancements, and cultural development initiatives at both corporate and site levels.
Large-Scale PHAs for a Multinational Agrochemical Company
The India office of AcuTech has undertaken extensive PHAs, including HAZOP, LOPA, DHA, and facility siting studies, for both existing and new projects of a multinational agrochemical company across its manufacturing sites in India and Denmark. Since 2018, over 50 such PHAs have been conducted, alongside Hazardous Area Classification and MIERA (Mechanical Equipment Ignition Risk Assessment).
HAZOP & LOPA for a Petrochemical Plant in Qatar
The PHA team has performed extensive PHAs for a petrochemical plant in Qatar. This included conducting HAZOP and LOPA studies for an Ultra High Pressure continuous polymerization plant (LDPE manufacturing at 2600 Bar pressure) and various utilities systems such as steam generation, turbo generators, cooling and chilling systems, nitrogen and oxygen plants, and compressed air systems.

The AcuTech India office has successfully implemented a comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) Program and Behavior-Based Safety Program (BBSP) for a specialty chemicals manufacturing company with multiple locations.
