Process industries facilities operate with hazardous materials under elevated pressures and temperatures. Managing these risks effectively requires close integration of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Asset Integrity Management (AIM). These slides examine the relationship between the two, emphasizing integration elements including risk-based inspection, safety-critical equipment management, hazard analysis, and lifecycle asset management. It shows how aligning AIM & PSM and creating a unified AIM-PSM framework improves equipment reliability, strengthens risk controls, and supports compliance.
