I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and came to the U.S. to attend Electrical and Computer Engineering grad school at Mississippi State University. My passion for safety led me to Electrical Safety, which led to Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and eventually to Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cybersecurity.

I spent most of my career on the owner-operator side with Williams, Oxy, and BP. I was fortunate to get assigned to a diverse project set involving instrumentation, electrical, and controls & automation in upstream, midstream, and downstream segments, including renewables and offshore.

My role encompasses the safety, security, and proper functionality of industrial control systems, emphasizing resilience and reliability. I advise clients on designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining such systems, which are often part of critical infrastructure.

It’s about doing the right thing. To leverage the successes and failures of those who have done it before you and use their lessons to prevent or mitigate hazards toward people, the environment, and damage to equipment.

My favorite part about working at AcuTech is belonging to a select group of individuals who stand out amongst the best in their fields.

Spending quality time with my daughter, reading books/watching documentaries, especially topics such as neuroscience and behavioral economics.
