OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Compliance
This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand, apply, and maintain compliance with the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) for achieving Star and Merit status. The course focuses on both the administrative and technical aspects of the VPP, including program structure, audit requirements, continuing evaluation, and expectations for safety management in the process industries. Participants will learn how to integrate VPP principles with existing occupational safety and health management systems to enhance workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
The course covers how to evaluate a facility’s safety program, identify gaps relative to VPP requirements, and implement strategies to meet OSHA Voluntary Protection Program expectations. Participants will gain practical insight into audit processes, documentation, and reporting necessary for achieving and maintaining VPP recognition. Technical topics include understanding the regulatory framework for VPP, interpreting OSHA guidelines, and applying requirements to process industry operations.
