AcuTech Consulting Group Announces New Director of Business Development
 
ALEXANDRIA, Va./Oct. 23, 2008 --- AcuTech, a global leader in process safety and security risk management consulting, training, and software services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kendra L. Martin as the Director of Business Development, working out of Alexandria, Virginia and Houston, Texas. Ms. Martin’s duties will include business development, client service and project management, consulting and training.

Ms. Martin, formerly the Director of Security, Maritime & Corporate Affairs at the American Petroleum Institute (API), has broad energy and transportation industry experience in critical infrastructure protection, cyber defense and homeland security public policy and industry operations initiatives. She has served as the industry lead for the development of federal and state public/private sector partnerships to support petroleum industry security, and voluntary industry efforts on Security Guidance and Security Vulnerability Assessment Methodologies, and industry education and awareness campaigns. Representing the oil industry, she served in various capacities to advise the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on security management and vulnerability assessment, including Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards and the Maritime Transportation Security Act.

Ms. Martin has worked closely with the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production companies, refiners, pipeline operators, and crude and LNG shipping companies, to develop and implement strategies for implementing security programs and procedures. She has experience in establishing internal polices for physical and cyber security, and implementing these policies.

A frequent public speaker on energy infrastructure security issues, Ms. Martin has developed and delivered workshops and training courses in homeland security for a variety of audiences.

Ms. Martin is a member of the Energy Security Council, the Women’s Energy Network of Houston, and the Womens International Shipping & Trading Association.
